About Shanice

Shanice specialises in treating dogs with a range of issues including arthritis, soft tissue injuries, post surgery care, sports performance issues, hip / elbow dysplasia, luxating patella and other orthopaedic condition support.

She lives with her 5 dogs in a small village in West Sussex and enjoys competing in dog agility. This is what introduced her to the world of canine massage and its importance not only in sport preparation but also for elderly dogs who may have either retired from a sporting career or are finding movement more restricting in their later years. 

She has also had the pleasure of teaching agility to numerous students, of varying ages and from all walks of life, for the past 6 years and judging at Kennel Club competitions for the past 2 years.

Shanice studied for two years with the world renowned Canine Massage Therapy Centre. This intense two years of training comprised of an in depth learning and understanding in canine anatomy and physiology. It included over 1200 hours of learning and practical skills in Swedish, Sports and Deep tissue massage, Myofascial release and the exclusive Lenton method. This method is first canine massage method to be scientifically trialled in the world, with 95% of dogs responding positively within 1-3 treatments.

Shanice is also a member of the Canine Massage Guild and believes in making sure her skills are constantly up to date by attending regular CPD courses.

Shanice covers Kent, Sussex and Surrey (like the High Weald) and treats your dog in your own home. 

She will only work under veterinary consent which complies with the Veterinary Act 1966 and Veterinary Exemptions Order 2015. Shanice adheres to best practice and will not treat a dog that has not been given consent by their vet.
